how do i remove just the shifter panel.. and not the whole center console? so i can have access to the cig lighter wires. thanks

 

There are two small panels at the foward most part under the dash. Pull these out (held in by snaps). Then you can acces the push-pins underneath. Pull those out, remove the astray and remove the screw, take off the shift knob, and then pull up and back on the shift panel. Disconnec the plug on the lighter and the sprayer button (if you have it).
