I did mine over a year ago, Evo isn't garage kept, drove all winter, still looks just like the day i did them... If you do it right It will last........

i think i'm gonna add a 2-3 coats of clear to mine...they look ok now...but the flat black look is cool but definetly needs a clear for protection and a little gloss.

I did the black with a red lip thing to mine about a week after I bought it in March. Has hel up fine. I did get a nail in the tire and when they fixed it, they chipped some of it off but it only took me 20 minutes to fix it no biggie.

just did this today, i made a special template out of wood for the lip, works perfect on every rim. put a scre in the center to pick it up out of the rim.

should i paint the mistu symbol in the center cpas red or just leave the centercaps all black?

I would say paint the mitsu symbol on the centercap, here are mine.....

i decided not to paint the centercaps
just painted them black
dont have a good pic of it on the car, it was night and the garage was a lil crouded

Is it possible to just use the duplicolor clear coat on top of a stock wheel without sanding? I don't really desire to change the color, just make sure they don't oxidize in the winter from salt. Would it last a season? Maybe longer?

so you didnt use the duplicolor wheel paint or engine paint you used there color match aerosol spray paint?
