So I have a few questions...

1. Does the throttle body have to be turned upside down due to the lack of place to bolt on the throttle cable?
2. How does the throttle cable bolt on and how easy is it to get to if it runs under the intake manifold now?
3. You just capped the throttle body coolant lines and looped it in the head like TTP shows of their quick write up I'm guessing?

I think that's it for now.

Thanks!

1) Yes
2) it's a barrel end like on a bicycle brake cable. It's not super easy to get to, but when do you need to touch the body of the throttle cable? Usually you just need to play with the end of it.
3) I looped my coolant lines on my head...and capped the ones on my Tb.

Botton line, this is not a bolt on manifold. Before a manufacturer can brag about gains and quaility and all that stuff they need to get into the drawing board and doit right the first time.

This is the clear example of an under engineered item, they have a great design and once installed properly I am sure it puts good power but what is not fair is the hassle that the owner has to go thorugh to make it fit right. No thanks! revise that manifold then sell it with the appropiate revisions/modifications for a trouble free install otherwise I ain't buying it.

well, i wouldnt have gone with the magnus manifold to begn with. every IM they have ever made has been a piece of crap. the sheet metal ones reduced power, a fact proven by buschur.

the AMS F-1 is like $10 more and come on, its freakin AMS!

No problem detroit pistins!

I bought my magnus for 700 shipped...new in box. Now they're offering rails with the intake manifold for like 725 shipped.

I don't think you'll find an AMS F-1 intake manifold for less than 950... So it's not apples to apples price wise. If I remember correctly..the AMS has not been directly compared to the Magnus... Sean Ivey has it planned, but has not done it yet.

Great product I would and HAVE recommended it to ALL of my evo friends. This and the FP Red make the Evo a blast to drive.

whats the low end loss and added spool loss with the magnus? I like the responsiveness that i have now down low with my stock intake manifold.

Extremely useful write-up Eric; lots of important bits here for sure! I read it a good ten times before starting my project.

I got my stocker off today in a few hours and am now waiting for the Magnus Removing the inlet manifold stay from underneath was extremely easy with a 14mm swivel socket and my longest extension. Removing all the hidden/lower 12mm manifold bolts was easiest going in directly through the rear () with an extension & swivel socket. Haven't even got to install the V5 yet haha.
