Hi all.
I just installed EVC3 on my car. EVC unit was sitting in garage for...close to 4 years. I know it's old!!

I was bored this afternoon and what the heck...i decided to install EVC3.

Well, at idle, EVC unit is reading 0.8kg/cm2 and boost gauge is reading 500mmHg!

when i rev it up to 3k, boost gauge is reading 300-200mmHg and EVC unit is reading -100mmHg.

I checked the all the wirings and hose. could not find any problem.

do you know what is going on??
is it because it is too old?

Some of the earlier EVCs had a number of issues. Moisture was a big one (the solonoid was not water tight) and that caused a lot of failures. Depending on how/where it was stored, this could be part of your problem.

I guess this information isn't all that helpful.

Try checking your vacuum lines and make certain you don't have a crimp somewhere.

You may also want to call tech support at HKS for some suggestions.

Otherwise, bang it with a hammer several times and say mean things to it. <--- I'm reaching here, I doubt that will work
