Post HKS EVC V instructions

I did several searches. It seems lots of people need this. If anybody has the english instructions, please scan or take a pic of the and post. Kpa and Psi, any differences.
Also, how to set-up.
Also, if someone has an install write-up or pics(or both), please post.
I'll post an install write-up with pics once I get some instructions

what are you having problems with???? I had a little help with mine. The electronics are easy. Just plug the plugs in and two power wires. The vacuum unit is harder. The small tube goes to a manifold source. The other two, not sure which, go to the turbo. One to the outlet side and other to the wastegate, i think. I can fax you the instructions. i think i still have them. RRR

I have them scanned:

HKS EVC V Install Guide and Setup Guide

http://socalevo.net/docs/manuals/HKS...up%20Guide.pdf (10.8MB)

HKS EVC Instruction Manual (two resolutions)

http://socalevo.net/docs/manuals/HKS...al%2072dpi.pdf (72 dpi - 3.9MB)

http://socalevo.net/docs/manuals/HKS...l%20150dpi.pdf (150 dpi - 16.9 MB)

Its kinda hard to read the 72 dpi one but it's good for those with a dial-up connection.

how do you set the boost on hks evc?

ok, i just installed my hks evc 5 and it works great. however, i set my warning at 140 kpa wich is about 20psi, but i dont know how to use the knobs a and b. it will boost about 130kpa in first and second and in third it will boost at about 120kpa. it also tapers off from 130 to about 115kpa. how do you set up the evc? the instructions are kind of confusing, can someone help.

The new HKS EVC works just like a manual boost controler.

To set boost, at normal mode, turn the A/B knob from 0-100%, the % is how much over your stock boost. pressing SEL will change between A and B. when you are in A mode, the A knob will lit RED, B knob lit Green. and vice versa...

The evo with the stock boost solenoid unplugged will only boost like 10psi or so if i remember correctly.

So if your stock wastegate setting is 10psi, then with either A or B set at 100, you get 20psi. the EVC won't go any higher unless you change the actuator setting.

if your EVC has the OFFSET function, you can set it by holding down MOD, once it beeps, hold it again, and it will go to Menu #7, which is the OFFSET for A setting, press MOD again set for B.

OFFSET can go from 0 - 200%, the higher the % is, the better response but less boost. for external wastegate, it's the opposite.

I have the EVC also, and I have an external wastegate. Problem is that when I set it for exteral gate the boost will only go to 15psi. In regular gate mode I can achieve 22psi. Im curious as to why I can't get higher boost with the external wastegate setting enabled?

ok so i did all that stuff that you said and it works, but i have noticed that if i turn it up that third gear is always a higher boost than first and second. when 3rd goes to 130-135kpa, or around 19psi, then 1st and 2nd gear are at around 115-120kpa. also, when i downshift and apply the gas then the boost goes much higher than it would reguarly if i was at wot from a stop. let me know because i am supposed to go to the dragway on wednesday and i want to figure this out.

Did you buy the unit used or new??

Do you have a manual with it that may describe those features and settings??

If not check her to download a manual..

HKS

I am also going to direct your question to HKS..

If it's not too late!!
