Installing aftermarket headunit on Infinity equip'd Evo

I just bought my sun/sound/leather Evo this week and I have already bought an Alpine headunit. The speakers sound really good but I needed to swap out that cheap looking stock unit. My question is, will I have any problems integrating my new unit with the factory infinity system. I'm going to Tweeter today to buy a harness but I'm not sure if that will even work.

So I can just buy the harness, plug the sucker in and everything will be kosher?

Most "premium" sound systems have external amplifiers somewhere downstrem of the stock HU. My Nissan Murano w/Blows (oops, I meant Bose) had one like this. Though an aftermarket head unit would work on mine, you are essentially sending an amplified signal (high level input) to the stock amplifier. Over time, it would more than likely blow the signal receiving part of the stock amp. Also, the SQ would probably be the same since the amplification is coming from the stock amplifier and not the aftermarket head unit.

If all amplification is internal to the stock HU, you are good to go. Otherwise, try to find a workaround to "jumper" or bypass the stock amp.
