resurface flywheel reuired ??

durring a clutch install is it mandatory to resurface or replace the flywheel? My clutch was slipping and I ordered a new clutch kit but now it does not even grab so I have to replace the clutch quickly and won't have time to resurface because I need a car to get to work. Will I have problems and what would they consist of? not proper matting the disc to flywheel and possible continue slipping??

Replace the flywheel. Its so thin that some dont recommend resurfacing it. I paid 1000 for my clutch install. They didn't replace the flywheel and now it jerks everytime I take off. BTW the 1000 did not include the clutch. Expensive mistake.

It should be fine unless the flywheel has hot spots in it from where you say it was slipping before. Little late to post this..lol

resurfacing is only really required when you have hot spots. if you do then dont skip that step

who knows hope it went well, having to do a second clutch job back to back from problems could be a costly mistake
