Should be in your owners manual under capacities I believe. If you don't have one, you can call the dealer.

The Recommended Tranny Fluid from AMSOIL is MTG....

If anyone is interested, I sell AMSOIL @ the Lowest Price to all EvoM Members...

Why is it every time someone posts about redline there are always amsoil posts?

Is anyone actually running the stuff?

Manual Transmission, 5 SPD - W5M51..........4.6 pints
Manual Transmission, 6 SPD - W6MAA..........5.9 pints
Differential, Rear..........1.2 pints
Transfer Case,..........1.3 pints

Those are the capacities that I have listed for a 2006 EVO

Tranny uses AMSOIL Product Code MTG

TC and Diff use AMSOIL Product Code SVG

If any of you guys are thinking about buying Amsoil, get it from the oildoc.

I placed my order at about 2pm eastern time (I am in Ft. lauderdale) and I received it the very next day at 5pm. I was amazed at how quickly he processed and sent it out.

He is a great vendor, and I will gladly due business with him again!

yo doc, the way i was taught at dunwoody college in automotive repair was that gl-5 supercedes gl-4..just like oil rating SM superceds SL. gl-5 for hypoid gears and extreme pressure while gl-4 couldnt quite stand up to those things.

Absolutely Not....... Your Instructor was mistaken.

A GL-4 is recommended when there is Copper, Brass and/or Bronze in the transmission as other classifications of lube May contain additives that are corrosive to those metals...

Now....... Some GL-5 Lubes, Such as the AMSOIL SVG will carry the GL-4, but Do Not Assume and it is totally up to you to check the label....

Recommended AMSOIL Tranny Fluid for the EVO is Product Code MTG.
