Front Bumper Removel Problem (Help)
Front Bumper Removel Problem (Help)
Yes, I've used the search button and found remove instructions but the problem is that, for some reason total of 10 clips (+) right behind my lip (under the car) connecting to the intercooler would'nt catch on and come off... and i mean it wouldn't even budge. and if you asking why i am removing my bumper is because i am blacking out my headlights. Now did this ever happened to anyone else? i've asked my buddies with evos what do to they just told me to break and bust them. but each clip cost around $3.50 each.. so that would rape my wallet....
whats wrong with it? or is there something I've done wrong?

I know it's a pain in the *** to remove those darn screws. I've taken mine off many times and always take the time to put it back in with every screw. I noticed on my zero lift kit that there are so many scratches from road debris, I don't want to take a risk and damage any of my pipes or get anything hitting the oil lines, brake lines, fuel lines, pulleys, belts, tranny, engine, etc. they designed that thing for a reason. Replace those plastic screws from Autozone, there's no need to pay 3.50 for one.
i don't remember, I know you can buy a pack of them, just bring one of the screws into the store and show them. It's been awhile, I replaced a bunch of the screws in the trunk carpet. From what I remember it was a pack of 10 for like 5-6 bucks. I know for sure it's not going to cost you 3.50 for one screw, that's ridiculous.

Some places have the OE ones - still not uber cheap but...
Try asking in the Wanted Section - some people that dont have the undertray on anymore might sell you the fastners cheap (or free)...just a thought...

or u can just get 2 flatheads to dig into the fastener (dig in hard) and pull them out with much strength. or if u do replace them, buy ones that come off easier. I found some @ autozone for 10 pack/$5.
When I took off my bumper to install the HID kit, I pry some of the rivets off using a really small flat head screw driver. For those that I couldn't get off, I just cut them off. I bought the new rivets from www.mitsubishiparts.net, they ran something like $1.70
