How-To Cam Install Video.

$400-$600? That's insane! Is that the going rate to replace cams? If so, man I got lucky with my installer several years back.
His name was Aby and he worked at HPD (Honda Performance Developement). He is what defines professionalizm! The guy was awesome! He worked on Indi car engines by day and worked on the side building engines at night/weekend. He actually put together my stroker kit (rebuilt my engine completely).
I remember he replaced my cams twice. First with a set of HKS 272s. And shortly there after (4 days to be exact) by HKS 282s. I literaly had 60-80 miles on my 272s before I changed them.
Why you may ask .. I wanted the try out the larger cams and the install was too affordable ... COST $120 .. Time of completion 35min
Once again, Aby was absolutely amazing. If any one of you around the Los Angeles/Valley area know him and his work, I'm sure you'll agree with me 100%.
Hope your cam install had been successful.

That is an awesome video. I will have this video playing next to me when I do my install. I will also bleed the lifters to stay off ticking. I was having doubts about doing this install myself but after watching this video I have a lot more confidence. I was debating about paying someone $400-$600 to install my cams, but now I can put that money to more mods. Knowledge is power.

Only thing that puzzles me, is it doesnt seem accurate with zip ties that when you install the cams and tighten the bolt for the came gear that its going to move and be out of time. But I guess if you get the hash marks lined up on the vc and the cg you should be good to go. Just seems sketchy to trust those zip ties.

That video makes me sick. After changing the cams on an M54, being able to see it done in a 12 minute video is great. You don't have to worry about cams cracking in half (although I think EVO cams are hollow, too), and there's no 30 minute VANOS reset procedure. I LOVE it!

Are there any write ups on how to do head studs and head gasket for cam install? Doing cams through the valve cover is easier Im sure, but what about new studs to handle the additional power?
