06 mivec into viii?
i tried searching this but came up with nothing. i recently broke a rod bearing in my 04 evo. i am wanting to swap in an 06 motor if this is possible (and im sure it is) what i would need besides engine and ecu? will my harness work with modification? if there is already a post on this topic would someone please redirect me?

thats what i am going for!(something different) this isnt my first wiring nightmare my last car was an 02 wrx with a JDM version 8 drivetrain swap. does anyone know exactly what wires are different? i called the local dealership to check on a price for a new harness, but they said i need a VIN for a 06 or a part number neither of which i have.

he still needs a motor wether he buys cams or not. yes i agree y spend the extra money for just a few hp but wouldnt u rather spend a lil extra money and put in a lil more time into something that u would be happy with rather then just doing the easier and cheaper way.. maybe its just my way of thinking. if u got the money and time, do whatever makes u happy to ur car

Simple is best, on paper it sounds easy to just swap wiring harness etc etc... But when it comes down to it thats a ton of labor thats going into the car. The gains arent worth it.
Cheers!
