That sucks you have to buy a new hose. What different from the stocker? And why doesn't AMS supply the hose, they charge enough for the part?

Ditto! Perhaps they can answer this or at least give us direction on where to find a good fitting one.

Ams Uicp

1) The Hose doesn't fit because you have the UICP/w the Mini Battery set-up, the hose is only made to fit the UICP Stock Battery set-up. (see picture below)
2) Either Call AMS and ask if they sell this hose separate or try Autozone or any other automotive store.

UICP /w Stock Battery

2006EVOIXMR,

Why don't you do research before you post misinformation. If you'd bother to check AMS' website, you can see that their UICP REQUIRES a small battery kit. They don't sell one for use with the stock battery because it is a short routed UICP.

I see some people just don't read CORRECTLY. I read the whole article on the AMS UICP and i never said anything about them selling the UICP with the stock battery, I merely informed the person who started this thread why the hose doesn't fit with the mini battery set-up and what steps he can take to resolve the issue at hand.

Dude you really need to read before you post misinformation.

yea figured it out..

went to pepboys and bought an 11$ coolant hose for some car that was bent like I need it to be bent.

I need to email AMS about this. I believe they should supply this part or at least have it in the description what you need. I hate to stop in the middle of something to run to the store... good thing I have a daily...

sorry you had so many problems. We thought about adding a custom silcone piece to this but it would raise the price. Also we were finding many people would not even recirculate it. Although we don't recommend that it was pretty common. Also some that were installing it were changing the BOV to mount in the IC pipe instead of the way it was from the factory. With all that in mind we thought we should simply omit a pipe. I do see where you are coming from in not mentioning it though. I will change the site and the instructions to note that. Thank you and sorry for any misunderstanding.

Eric

Eric it would truly be nice to have you provide a hose, even if its for a little extra. Having to run around to find some oddball size hose with no direction is irritating. I would pay extra if you guys could make one.

Wow, that has to be a real downer when you're mid installation! I'm glad my Nisei UICP included the needed hose. I still like ETS' metal BOV pipe the best though.
