Try and get some sort of file or grinder and try and flatten two sides and get an open ended wrench on it. Or try and go to home depot or lowes and I think they have special sockets for stripped bolts. Hope this helps..

if the threads r stripped.. u will have to drill it out more then likely.. and then retap it for a slightly larger bolt. not really a simple fix for something like that..

What exactly is stripped? The bolt head or the threads? Also which threads? Bolt threads or tranny threads?

Just grab a pair of good vice grips and crack it loose. GL

a good set of vise grips should work (probably have to get the large ones!). I know lowes sells the sockets for stripped bolt heads. If that doesnt work, you can always drill out a hole in the bolt head and use and easy out (attach vise grips to easy out to turn it/put downward pressure on it with your hand)

if u try the things posted and nothing works, get a 12 point socket slightly smaller than wat u need, probably a standard size, and hammer it on the bolthead...

go to lowe's or any other hardware store or autoparts store and get a screw extractor. they look like this [copy and paste link]:

http://www.lowes.com/pd_232656-1083-...5101&Ntt=screw extractor&Ntk=i_products&pl=1&currentURL=/pl__0__s?newSearch=true$Ntt=screw extractor

just make sure that the extractor bit is not larger than the actual bolt (not bolt head) and that you have a new drain plug. gl

Try A little heat around the bolt. Just be careful you don't use too much
