How to install a speed sensor - video

Two tips:
The speed senor pocket in the transmission casting is a great sand and gravel collector. So, before you pull the sensor you need to blow the debris out of this pocket. Otherwise, its going inside.
Say you're doing a clutch swap and say you've had the plate off the transmission that the rear motor mount bolts to and say you find you cannot reinsert the speed sensor (it takes a lot of says to screw things up). Well, all the bolts for the plate and mount look to be the same length but they are not and you've got a long one up top. There's a tiny bit of length difference and this will prevent the sensor from going home.

I thought of a third tip. Since I've been working on fuel injectors I've been dealing with electrical plugs with wire bails. When looking at the FSM for transmission pulling, the manual shows (step 3) remove vehicle speed sensor connector. Don't even try, its impossible. Instead, pull the sensor.
