How to Compression if you can't Crank?

My car died a few weeks ago, how can a compression test be given if you can't crank the engine?

You can't do it then. If it's siezed, you have bigger problems. What you could do is a leak down test. On that you put each cylinder on TDC and use air pressure and a special gauge to monitor how much leaks past the rings and valves. With that info, you get more out of what could be wrong with your engine. Compression test is faster, and good, leak down just gives you a more accurate idea of what shape your engine is in.

If its seized then the motor is likely done.

What do you mean by the car died? Will the motor turn manually? what happened when it died? Does the motor turn if you turn the key? If you can provide more info, I'd be happy to help you out through some trouble shooting.

sorry for the late reply

OK here goes in order of everything I did

1. bought and replaced spark plugs with new iridium NGK, ran car without proper gap and when in boost she buckled, went home and gapped at 22-24 i think and ran fan after that.

2. a week later I replaced my thermostat with a new mishimoto, ran car around the block making sure everything is good and left car like that till the next weekend.

3. next weekend I was playing with my maps, then i put everything back to the same map started the car and everything was fine (car still in garage)

4. next weekend i drove her to my office on a Sunday morning 5am, pushed her a bit on the highway when i noticed power was down and the temp gauge almost in the red, pulled over and the reservoir was boiling and you could hear the coolant boiling in the radiator, I placed the heater on high and waited for her to cool down.
drove her home under 4k rpm and she didn't overheat.
after she cooled down is when i noticed the wax from the thermostat was all over the reservoir tank.
i flushed all the coolant out and ran my garden hose straight in the upper coolant hose while running the car in idle to flush everything out, when i did this the temp needle stayed all the way down, left her in idle like this for about 1 minute with the water flowing Thur the upper hose and draining Thur the bottom.
turned her off and closed the hood.

5. next weekend I put everything back, fill the coolant, new radiator cap, no thermostat now, and go to start her and nothing???
all you hear is the starter pin sliding up and no crank, thinking its my battery (original 05 battery) i replaced it and still nothing.
took off passenger front wheel and tried to crank the engine with a 1/2" extension socket, i was able to spin her about a 1/4 turn easily, could turn more but I stoped.
I then touched the starter wires with a screwdriver to see if she will spin and got her started like this, but allot of white smoke from the exhaust (blown gasket no question)

Thats the only way she would start, turning the key all you hear is the first click and thats it.

6. This weekend  shes being towed to Sean Ivey {thumbup}.

7. Next weekend after this weekend  ill let you guys know what I f'd up.

Please if you can still recommend anything, I would appreciate it
