How To: Slipping Nuts'n'Bolts
:banghead: Hey guys, I was working on my car the other day and bolts kept getting loose from the tools and slipping and falling. We're all been there and it bugs the **** out of me so here's a solution of sorts which is really easy and believe me, it saves your nerves from exploding and prevents you from going on a rampage :shoot::lol:
Step One Everybody has ziplock bags, you can find them anywhere and their plastic is thick. I just decided to take some picture instead of tell you what to do to make it easier. The pictures are self explanatory. Use the edge of the ziplock bag and cut out a 2 x 2 in piece, it's depends on how loose your tool and bolt is but mine was pretty loose so I used the edge and it's 2 layers thick. The pics will explain what I mean. I'll have to give this a try!{thumbup} I have an, uh, magnetic nut retriever? :lol: That has gotten way too much use over the years, thanks for the tip!

You could just magnatize the sockets too... Good idea though :beer:

nothing pisses me off more than dropping a but that's hard to get to... or the one time we dropped an aluminum bushing from a shifter and I didn't know it was aluminum so I went through all this trouble to go buy a magnet (since we were in a Hooter's parking lot) only to have it not work

It's a pretty simple technique especially if you don't have a magnetic one or the metal you're working with isn't magnetic. For me it solved alot of headaches because nuts and bolts falling just exhaust the life out of you and you lose the will to work.
