* AMS PRODUCT RELEASE * EVO 7,8,9 Wet Sump Oil Pan

AMS EVO VII/VIII/IX Wet Sump oil Pan

The AMS EVO VII/VIII/IX Wet Sump Oil Pan is designed to keep oil where it needs to be even in the most severe racing scenarios. The stock oil pan for the EVO did not take into account the effects that sustained high speed turns or acceleration can have on the oil. During these situations oil can be pushed to one side of the pan causing vital engine components to be starved of oil. The AMS Wet Sump Oil Pan will not only accommodate another 1.5 quarts of oil but by using a trap and kick outs, it enables oil to stay where it is needed. The added capacity and aluminum construction have the added benefit of keeping the oil cooler. The AMS wet sump pan is a must for every type of racing

Features

  • 100% 6061 aluminum construction. Hand TIG welded
  • Additional 1.5 quart oil capacity over stock
  • Front kick out area to allow for more oil capacity
  • Integrated Trap door preventing oil from shifting during lateral acceleration
  • 3/4” deeper than stock pan
  • Custom oil pickup
  • Integrated crank oil stripper
  • Complete bolt on with no other modifications needed
  • Bolts right up the factory or aftermarket oil return lines
  • Adds more clearance for factory and aftermarket downpipes
  • Unrivaled fit and finish

Specifications
  • 6061 hand TIG welded aluminum construction
  • 6.5 quart oil capacity
  • 3/16” thick aluminum construction

Any reason you chose not to have any fins on the bottom to help with heat dissipation?

Pan looks great otherwise though!

There are no fins due to the pan already being 3/4 inch lower than the stock pan. We dont want to make the pan the lowest part on the car.

As Tim said, even with this pan its still not the lowest point at the front of the car. You should be fine.

Hey guys I was wondering what the advantages to using studs is? Are they included?

Also on a side not, it was great seeing you guys out at buttonwillow and my team and I greatly appreciate the efforts to try and track down a head gasket for us and letting us go through your parts bins. You have earned our business and we will be contacting you for a pan soon.

It does look low. What part of the car is lower? I already have scrape marks on one of my tie bars and I think it is higher than this pan appears to be.

Will this pan work with an APR splitter?

If I can get this set-up by mid-December I'll take one. My motor is being rebuilt right now, and that's around the time everything will be going back together. I'm already installing your oil cooler, mustache bar, and intercooler at that time, so why not an oil pan as well. ;-)
