I apologize for this ignorant question, but does this setup require a clutch fork stop like the Exedy?
No, the QM clutch has a HRB. This eliminates the problem associated with the factory style TOB, so there is no need for a clutch fork stop like the Exedy's have.

Unfortunately the 8 leg QM clutch will not work for a 2G, but they do offer a 6-leg version that will work on a DSM, and is the same clutch that we use in our 8 second Red Demon.
The HRB improves the reliability over stock as there are a lot of the issues associated with the factory style TOB. You're converting from a pull to push style with the HRB.
