FP HTA Black Turbocharger Ball Bearing 7/8/9

Forced Performance is proud to announce the debut of our 100% brand new, patent pending, dual ceramic ball bearing design within the FP BLACK™ Turbocharger for the Lancer Evolution 4-9 vehicles. This new design virtually eliminates any limit to allowable thrust load within the turbocharger while simultaneously reducing drag and rotational resistance to spool up. The increased thrust limit significantly extends the longevity of the turbocharger when operated beyond its published flow and boost limits and eliminates the turbochargers sensitivity to lubrication interruptions due to hard acceleration and cornering forces. Recent performance testing at the MHI Research and Development Laboratories in Nagasaki, Japan verified that the design dramatically exceeds the normal allowable thrust loads for TD05/6 type turbochargers and allows for a significant increase in the available airflow from the turbocharger without bearing damage.

Internally very little is shared with any previously offered turbocharger anywhere in the world beyond the description of "ball bearing". This patent pending design is 100% blank page and will have an important impact on turbocharger bearing systems for years to come. The races and ceramic balls of the turbocharger are the highest grade components available anywhere, period.

From this point forward the standard journal bearing system will not be available for the FP BLACK™ Turbocharger for the Lancer Evolution 4-9.

The FP BLACK™ for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 4-9 is the most fully evolved stock appearing variant we offer. It features an 82mm HTA™ compressor wheel with a flow rate of 68lb/min with our 84mm Flow Advancement Port™ compressor cover. The turbine side features a large 67mm turbine wheel.

The turbo comes standard with a 25psi wastegate actuator and our Evo Oil Filter Housing Line Kit. You may select a lower pressure actuator if needed, but the unit is intended to operate above 25psi of boost pressure. This turbocharger will produce 500-600whp results readily on well prepared engines.

This turbo features a 12 month complimentary repair policy. You must activate this service within 30 days of purchasing this turbocharger by returning the registration card included with the turbocharger and a copy of your receipt if purchased from a supplier other than Forced Performance. Please contact us directly if you have any problems or questions regarding your turbocharger, dis-assembly of the turbocharger or modification will void the Complimentary Repair Policy.

Curt Brown has put this turbo to the test for us and has posted an awesome 605whp backed up by a 602whp graph. This thing really is the ultimate street car turbo!

The FP HTA GT3076R turbocharger is based on the world renowned Garrett GT Ball Bearing structure. This fact assures the highest strength and longest service life possible. At Forced Performance, we have long recognized the precision and excellence in manufacturing found in the full line of Garrett Ball bearings cartridges and turbochargers, and this is exactly why we choose Garrett over others manufacturers when we build our custom application HTA units.

The 76mm size HTA wheel has 54.8mm inducer and flows over 57lb/min without dropping efficiency, and works well at pressure ratios as high as 4.5:1 .

There optional turbine housings for this turbo, but the recommended default housing is the .82 A/R or .63 A/R T31 style with it's compact 2.5" diameter 4 bolt outlet. We have the corresponding gaskets and flanges for this housing if needed.

Introducing the new FP HTA GT3786R™ everything you love about the FP HTA GT3586R™ with a little more oomph! It combines the greater turbine flow found in the GT37 with the 75lb/min flow rating of the 86HTA™ compressor. The compressor wheel measures 62.1mm inducer and 86.2mm exducer. The turbine wheel measures 72.5mm inducer and 66.5mm exducer.

This wheel combination extends mass flow well beyond 75 lb/min with observed power output in the 730+whp range on well prepared cars. This turbo is available with a variety of turbine housings, but using anything smaller than a .82 is stupid.

Forced Performance HTA GT3794R BB Turbocharger EVO 7/8/9

The Forced Performance GT3794HTA turbocharger is the next step beyond the GT3586HTA in power production within the GT35R footprint. It combines the greater turbine flow found in the GT37 with the 90lb/min flow rating of the 94mm HTA compressor. The compressor wheel measures 67.5mm inducer and 94mm exducer. The turbine wheel measures 72.5mm inducer and 66.5mm exducer.

This unit has a standard GT35R configuration, so it can easily replace an existing GT35R without modifying the header or manifold. It is available in either 3" vband or 3" bolt outlet. No other turbine housing options are available at this time.

This turbocharger is recommended for applications running 40psi boost pressure that target the 800-900whp range. The GT3794HTA has exceeded 900whp easily during testing as well has running 8's in the quarter mile with trap speeds in excess of 160mph.
