there's a decent amount of poke on those +22s, so only 6mm more isn't going to help much. i run -2 degrees of camber in the rear which helps, probably will be close. i just don't want to have to pull or relocate the bumper tab. those are my main concerns.
-2 actually is a decent amount of camber. You will be fine at +28. +28 is currently being manufactured. You will likely have to order a set.

Here is a thread with the +28... those are nicely tucked and spokes are flat faced. 6 mm is actually a good amount for our cars when dealing with offsets. I wonder what size of spacer the SL +35 would need to clear the fronts. Probably a 10 mm. But that would put you at +25. So you really do not have much a of choice.

thx, i'll be on the lookout for either. that dude is also way lower than me, i'm not crazy about low cars. and it makes the rear wheels look gigantic on our 8/9s

that said though, it looks like they would clear the X calipers, which would be roughly 30mm further away from the center of the wheel with no more poke. would still be tight though.
Bumping this thread up for more info. Does anyone know if the 18x9.5 +35 CE28SL will clear Evo X calipers?

Edit: it looks like they dont clear the X calipers looking at the rays website, but they clear the 324mm r34 GTR brembos which makes me wonder why they wouldn't fit the 350mm evo x brembos?

it's not about how large the rotor is, but how much the caliper poke out, and if the rim spokes can clear the caliper. design is different for each car. some wheels that fit the evo x's don't fit the evo 9's brembos, which are virtually identical, due to where the spoke's concavity "meets" the caliper.

Right, I just noted the rotor diameters just to make the point that the evo X's calipers are actually further out from the hub than the r34 gtr calipers, which you would think would help with caliper clearance. Seems odd to me that the 9.5 +35's would clear the r34 and not the evo x.

not sure. gtr brembos could be smaller/narrower or the whole thing could be more inset/ have a hub face that pokes out more giving it more clearance. it's a game of mm. i suspect the sl's will fit but I wasn't willing to try

Good point. I searched and found out the r34 rotors are 53.75mm tall and the evo x is 44mm tall. Almost a 10mm difference in caliper position and the evo x rotors are 2 mm thicker so that isnt helping either.
