Two seperate topics one post. Just installed the tilt hinge kit on the trunk. Fairly easy install and looks great when the trunk is open. However . . . . . . trunk does not seem to want to close correctly anymore. The flex in the hinges causes the weatherstrip to push up the trunk a little so that it is no longer flush. I had problems with fit before because my c/f trunk lid is so light. May need to heat treat (de-temper) one of the trunk springs to get proper fitment.

On the other side I have it from an extremely reliable source that Fiber Images will be unveiling a complete c/f front fascia for the evo at SEMA the first week of November. Pricing has not been set yet and the little birdie told me it looks much like if not exactly like the GIALLIA front end. I'm going to SEMA so I'll let you all know what turns up.

Didn't know if I was gonna like it or not but. I think it looks cool. It shows off the rear strut bar in the trunk, but you can still see the big uk badge screamin EVOLUTION VIII. it's cool

Everything looks good except the vinyl racing stripe and the tilt trunks. Kinda reminds me of the low rider cars. But its your car and as long as your happy thats all that matters.
