I traded my 03 in on saturday. They gave me $24,000 for it. I'm still in shock over that. I was tring to sell it for $24k. I got the GSR with the SSL OTD for $33,714 when the sticker was $34,213 or something like that.

Oh yea when tring to get them to their lowest price, make a seen in the showroom. Make sure the sales guy has your phone # then walk out. That's what I did and 10 min later he called me back with the payments where I needed them. So I turned around to get my new 05 tamac GSR and couldn't be happier.

did by any chance you went to any dealership here in nova or MD? If you did, you mind letting me know how much did you get offered for trade-in? I'm also looking to trade mine but no luck man! got offered to low.................How many hours is that dealership from NoVa?

 

how do you like it compared to your 03?

 

I didn't go to any dealers down here in MD to have them look at my trade. It seems like $19,500 and $22,500 is the norm for trade ins with over 15k on the car. They tried to give my 20,500 then 22,500 then they called back saying they would give me $24000 for mine. In MD most dealers are marking up all the 05 evos. That's why I went up to PA. Lancaster is about 2.5hrs away from nova give or take.

 

It's not as fast as my 03 was......yet The drivetrain seems alot more solid compaired to the 03. No more decell noise. The car only has like 150 miles on it so I'm still breaking it in. It already has a type s and greddy TI with a test pipe on it. With some more stuff to be installed next weekend.

 

4k miles on the MR and no decel noise. The MR and all 05 evos carry the same drivetrain so you should be fine.

 

Did you consider getting the MR?

 

Yea I did. I could see myself paying another $5,000 or $6,000 for basicly another gear. I have a set of HKS coilovers that will go on in the spring. All I really wanted was ACD so I wouldn't have to put up with that t-case BS like I did with my 03.

 

damn all this talk about people trading in their 03's makes me feel like i have a bucket. if i were to trade it in for another evo though i definitely would go for the MR. otherwise im in love with the 04 s2000's.

 

i have found out that if im going to be gettingn an evo i am going to have to go out of middle tn... all the dealers arounf here ****in stink... that all want like 34K for a 05 GSR when i can spend a couple more thousand and get an MR... so if you guys know of any good dealers around middle TN that would be awsome

 

If you are intrested in an evo. I'll give you the info on the dealership I delt with.. I got my RR 03 with the cf spoiler and sunroof for 26,900+ttl. I live In mt. Juliet. right outside of nashville. If you don't mind driving. I would look into alcoa mitsubishi. that where I bought mine... there service is ok. I'm kinda angry at them but there prices are great and that's all that matters to me.
