the MAF measures air before it goes into the turbo, so by venting air out before it gets to the intake mani (i.e. venting to atmosphere) the measurement of air getting to the motor is now wrong, the ECU is still going to spray the appropriate amount of fuel to the measurement the MAF took, if it was recirculated then this means nothing, if its vented to the atmosphere then the car will have a rich spot since some of the air is now no longer in the system

the easy answer is unless yor car is running an EMS or is converted to speed density you should be recirculating the BOV, and there isn't even a reason big turbo guys cant do it anymore since Tial now makes 2 recirculating BOV's

while the engine is out... go nutty with a welder and plug up some holes then go nutty with a grider and smooth em clean then i guess get a quick spray in there. would look a little baller if you smoothed out useless holes... i would.
