Stiff competition (not really). The yellow car is me, I thought the slip time looked familiar. Just went to the car to verify, yup, that's me running with you. I think I ran like 13.3 or something crappy like that.

Why would you heat wrap intercooler piping? Wouldn't you want to discipate any heat generated as opposed to holding it in?

That "box" is know as an air-to-water IC.

well assuming your intercooler is working properly, no you wouldnt want the air to discipate out of the piping, you want to keep whats cool, inside that pipe, all the while not allowing the temps from outside the piping, from the heat soaked engine, enter into the piping...make sense??

Wink

and yes that IS a water to air intercooler...its pretty sick and does infact keep those intake temps really cold! in fact, at times, too cold

Nope I think the heat gets pretty hot from the temp of the head itself transferring heat through the intake manifold and throttle body. I understand the efficiency of a liquid IC setup but I still think the pipes get pretty hot from transferred engine heat more than anything. Just my opinion

trust me bud, if you could feel the temp on that water to air intercooler pipe, you would realize that those temps are not going to have much of a negative effect on the intake temp themselves.
