I lost mine at a little over 100 mph, scared the hell outta me! It ripped loose from the bumper, but stayed attached in the center where it attaches to the subframe. It makes quite the racket when its draggin along like that, took me a second to figure out what i had broken. Tore the bumper up pretty good in the process.

You definitely need to use the rods or else eventually it will fall off

Mine came off even with the support rods and factory hardware. When i came to a stop, the rods had actually pulled through the splitter. I think i had it on for about three months with no problems before that. One thing that might be helpful is to use an even larger diameter washer on the underside to be on the safe side.

guys, went around 80 mph when it came off. I've been up to 155mph going to AZ for short stretches without problems. Rods were in place.

Thumbs up

It happens to my friend's car. but after we got it back into the garage. we realize he did not replace the factory plastic bolts on the rear bracket with the stainless bolts APR supply. I replace all my bolts....works great. just need to follow the instruction

Wow, I would be PO if that happened to me. Its a nice piece and I was going to get one. It just seems like a scary part to have due to how low it is.

Mine ripped off going around 120mph, the splitters connecting rods snapped and the splitter bottomed out. The front portion of the splitter shattered and broke the bracets on my front bumber where the splitter connects to. I installed it according to spec, all in all a BIG WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I have had mine on at 140MPH on a road course, I HATE the small rods that come with it, so I had stronger ones made up! works fine.
