very nice. but thats not a BOV your hearing, it most likely doesnt have a BOV and thats compressor surge when he shifts. race-cars do that to keep boost up durring shifts, especially if they have anti-lag

Or he just has a loud sounding turbo/intake mix... there's a million and two things that can make that sound. Its like how taking off the lid to your airfilter can make your "BOV sound" louder. Its all just airflow. Chances are on that thing though that it is compressor surge.
