HKS RS Intake with APEXI filter

After during some searching I realized that the "fliter element" on the HKS intake is just short of being a bucket of $hit. Having had an APEXI filter an seeing the great reviews on it, I was off in my garage trying to figure a way out for it to fit. It took me close to an hour to get it to the point where it was'nt touching a damn thing.

I really like the way it turned out. All I need now is my Carbing aluminum cooling panel and a couple of other spritzes and i'm done with the cosmetics in the engine bay.

Here is where I mounted it using an OEM location and 10mm bolt.

And an overall engine shot.

I'm sure somebody else has done this before, just thought i'd share.

Looks great. It's always nice to see people getting their hands dirty and trying out things themselves
