They sent me an email telling me it's back out. I thought they were inactive for such a long time due to people trying to screw over Shining Monkey? I hope the new stuff works better than the old

I've heard nothing but bad reviews about shining monkey's first line of car detailing products. I can tell by the way you post that you have some relation to them. Free product? Are you sponsored by them? What is it?

Not trying to bash them out instead of giving them a second chance but VOC compliant is standard on tire shines, not something to brag about and def. not a selling point. I just don't understand how a simple product containing oils and silicone could take 13 months to develop? I could go make tire shine in my kitchen in an hour.

to answer your question... at first i knew the products only, then cuz i used to go by so much and used their stuff at shows i got partial sponsored by them :-)

but anyways, since then, ive become friends with some of the guys, i dont think there is something wrong with that and spreading the word.

And i asked them tons of times why it was taking so long to make it... their response was simple... to make a tire shine, ya could be done in an hour but to make a tire shine that is shiney, lasts long and DOES NOT FLING is not easy (why do you think no one else on the market can say that? thats how i got to know them BTW). Also regarding VOC compliance, every year the government limits what u can use and how much of it example... rememeber CFC;s? I mean im not a chemist but apparantly it isnt very easy to make this stuff where it doesnt fling within a tight VOC restriction. All products that are chemical has VOC laws... thats not the bragging part.. the braggin part is that with the tight restrictions they developed what they set out for..and what people expect.

by the way, how is your meguares sponsorship?

hahhah

I'll stick with my Zaino Z-16, Poorboy's Bold n' Bright, and Meguiar's Water Based Dressing diluted 1:1. No need to jump on this Shinning Monkey bandwagon...I've used their stuff before and it's all hype...all these companies use the SAME formulas, but modify them only slightly to call their own. All you need to make sure of is that it's water based..then it'll stick, not fling and stay satin for a while!

First of all, its spelled meguiars. Second, I have no affiliation with meguiars nor have I ever mentioned any product of theirs on this website. What are you talking about????

Making a tire shine not fling simply requires proper application. You can make a spray on tire shine easier for the average joe to apply. Any decent tire shine properly applied on properly cleaned and maintained tires will shine, last long, and not fling.

they just came out with that? ive been using another brand that looks and sounds exactly the same for more than 5 years. how much does a can of that go for? the one i use goes for about $2-3 and is only sold at most professional auto stores (car quest, etc. )

+1 for Poorboys. The detailing forum guys love it. I use their EX and spray and rinse wheel cleaner.

I just use some 303 Aerospace on the tires. I don't like the high gloss tire shine.

Here's me doing my wheels after a track day.
