How do I remove black marks from the ceiling?

Ok, I've searched the 6 pages of the search I performed and found nothing, so:
"How do I remove black marks from the ceiling?"
You know? Those mysterious black marks that form on the grey fuzz ceiling from which no one know they came? I can supply pics later if neccessary.

Thoughts? Thank you.

i don't know if it'd be the same on the evo, but on my wife's 97 eclipse i've had success with resolve spot magic carpet cleaner. it's in an aerosal can and you spray it on and just dab it dry with a towel.

Thank you. Any residue left over with the Resolve Spot Magic Carpet Cleaner? Or should I just visit a detailing shop to get it gently steam cleaned?

no residue, it's like a foam that almost disintegrates the dirt and you just dab it dry. if you have the extra cash i'd go with the steam cleaning though.

whatever you do, do NOT rub the headliner. It will fuzz up really bad. I cleaned mine with a sponge and now it has fuzz ***** all over it and looks like ****.

A Steam Cleaner did wonders for mine, all that black crap just melted off, no damage to the fabric

If you go with the CF piller replacements that would be hot....or just paint them black too...

Dealer said it was "scuffing". Something about the "fuzzy" being sprayed to the cardboard, and that the rubbing on the ceiling removes material, which results in the black marks. I guess I need to look at it better. It seems like dirty fuzz, but more visual analysis is required, I guess.
