Just some goodies from Forge
Installed a few things from Forge today and I wanted to post some pics. They aren't the best but I did some while I was working on the car...
First, thanks to Patrick and Angel at Forge for getting the goodies to me before this weekends HIN Orlando. It looks like right now, there is an emergency with my job so I will be flying out to Bogota, Colombia tomorrow. BLAH! But...Never fear...representing the boys at Forge with my buddy taking my car to Orlando.
First, notes and observations...
The BOV is awesome. I thought I would miss my Greddy Type S and the laser beam sound...I don't. This valve is subtle and non-annoying. I am holding 23psi really well with it. Since I have the MAF still, I am running a recirc. and I wanted to trim a little off of the outlet horn to get the best clearance with the radiator hose. The clearance is great but I am ****. Well, the ol dremel and a HD cut off wheel took a beating. This aluminum is ridiculously strong. Broke 3 wheels doing this...Just to remove a 1/4 inch. So that should tell you that there isn't any cheap metal there.
Second, the brake ducts. What an adventure. Nothing wrong with them, it is just taking the bumper off and whatnot. They fit PERFECT. They are gorgeous. I wish they were visible with the wheels on the car. Routing the duct work wasn't bad either, there just isn't a lot of room on the stock bumper to find real estate for them to suck up some air. The install went great and the clearance is even better.
The coolant hoses and the boost hoses are Grade A. No isses with fitting and they are very rigid. It is a pain to get a couple on just because of the rigidness. They clean up the engine although mine doesn't look so good. I have to clean everything later.
Anyway, thanks Forge Motorsport and on with the pics.

Thanks everyone. Here I am in Bogota, Colombia. My boy took my car to HIN as I got called out for work on an emergency here. He said it was right next to the main stage and that HCI and Modified took some pics of it. That made me pretty happy. Also, he couldn't remember but a guy from a magazine left his card. Had a few other people snap some pics so all in all, I think that it went well for my sponsors at least for what I could do with being called up for this emergency 2 days prior to the show! My buddy Pablo gladly took my IX to the event and said it looked great. Didn't win anything...at least he didn't tell me I did...So oh well. HIN Miami, I will be more prepared!

It's actually great weather here in Bogota. Since it is 10,000 feet up, it is usually 65 or so all year round. He said he was the first one in and the first one out at the show. But he couldn't have left early I don't think in the middle of the show.
So yeah...Just having a Club Colombia Cerveza right now and winding down. Getting ready for work tomorrow!

Sorry it took me so long to jump in Kris. Everything looks great and I am glad that it could all come together! I have been out for the last week as has much of the staff attending a large VW/AUDI show in new jersey. Keep me posted on how things progress.
