All hoods will vary even within one brand. So asking everyone else with the same hood won't do you any good. THey are made by hand and sometimes fitment isn't perfect. So you are risking the chance the hood may pop open on the freeway and smash your windshield and your roof. Be safe and use pins. The latching system is never as strong as a stock hood will be and the slightest misalignment of the latch and that hood will come up. And believe me you will wish you had pins when you are trying to pull the car over with your hood smashed against your roof.

ahah you talk like you've had some bad experiences. But you would have to have an iq of 48 to not use pins. Plus, the look pretty damn cool also.

If you want more security I'd look into the locking pins. There are some nice flush-mount hood pins out there but they are more espensive.
