Question ???

I found the key in japanparts.com

I am not sure if the key is the latest one but it is listed under the Evo IX section.

Now, I am confused if the key is going to work or not.

Here is the pic on their site:

If your friend swings by Japan soon, please tell them to bring one for me.

The only other ones i found were for the VII, and those don't work.
My co-worker is going to japan in a week, and i'm trying to convince him to swing by a mitsu dealer there.

edit:

I will, however I just ordered 2 from the site i got the pic from.... I'm worried my friend might get me the wrong key , the pic you are showing me is the right key. funny i checked japanparts before, and they didn't have it, must be a new item. i did write a few companies requesting this item.

Talking

That is what I was trying to figure out! I am not sure and nobody can confirm that the key and/or the embedded keyless entry remote will work on USDM models.

I PMed the owner of this thread but I have not received a response yet!

If you order, let me know if the key actually works on USDM models!

it should work, otherwise, it's not that difficult to bypass the immobilizer, just about any alarm tech can do it, worse comes to worse, you would have to use one of your own keys to put in a box to think the immobilizer is in. my main concern is that the keyless functions work.

I could care less if the key is JDM, I just wanted a key that is together w/ the remote. my 1st key is almost broken (the rubber part that connects to the key ring) from daily abuse, and I am allready using the second key.
I even use a key separator so i'm not driving w/ all the keys hanging from the ignition.
I checked Germany, UK, Australia, and even hong kong before realizing that the stupid key was only made in japan.
Mitsu is so stupid, i bet if they made it an option, people here would pay 500 bucks at purchase to have a better key.

Did you get the Immobilizer and keyless entry to work on a USDM model?
