Yes, this is the Nisei FMIC. The core is HUGE compared to the stock one and heavy as I was hoping to loose some weight after the install but I think it safe to say that the entire stock setup ie. FMIC, pipes ect... weighs less then just the Nisei core alone. I decided while I was installing the bumper back on to remove the mesh from the center to expose the FMIC as much as possible then saw how much better it looked then I decided to remove the 2 little sections above but by doing that it made the steel bumper beam more exposed and I didn't like that so out came the sawsall, cut the beam up so that the FMIC is completely exposed and looks great. I also ditched the symbol in the center of the grill, what you you think I'm still on the fence Hopefully I finish it up today if I get the time and post more pics later on this evening... heres one more you ya

Nice FMIC, even nicer car in the back ground. It pretty hard to get a Supra turbo in that Grayish Green Mica Matellic color.

core looks great but with spending that kind of money for the ic i would leave the mesh on the bumper if you drive it alot. a rock on the highway would cause some nasty damage.

So how much of the intercooler fins are blocked off by the bumper? It also appears you removed the bumper beam.

Sorry for the late responce... been out of town. I did opt to eliminate the center section of the bumper to open up the area to more direct air. I only opted to go this route after I removed the screen from the center and liked the way it looked so I then tried the two slots above the center section. Upon doing this it made the steel bumper more obvious so I decided to get the sawzall out and cut out the center section. It opened up the FMIC to a lot more air with less restriction not to mention the WOW factor. Unfortunately with the IX's its almost not noticeable when you upgrade to a aftermarket FMIC because of the design of the bumper so by eliminating the mesh it gives it alittle more attitude.

Thanks,

Joe
