seriously... people need to stop being ignorant with the dumbass v8 comments. Go to a drag strip and see what a fully built v8 can do and then come back and talk ****. Last time I checked, Ams barely dipped into the 8s while 5.0 mustangs have been running 8s for god knows how long.

.... ummm who cares and what does it matter. Doesn't matter how you get to a certain level of performance, its the end result that counts. Especially if its actually cheaper to go with a 5.0. How you get to the results is irrelevant especially when it comes to to ignorant comments about how evos are V8 killers. I love my 2 liter evo, but its stupid for us, as a community of car enthusaists, to look upon v8s with such a sense of ignorance.

 

with enough money, anybody can make it into anything. screw a drag strip. go out to a road course and see if any of those V8 boats can keep up with an EVO. that's a true test of a car's performance. not driving in a str8 line for a few seconds.

 

Evo X still has the Evo blood because it is ugly like the rest of the evolutions.

I doubt he was considering the potential of the cars straight-line performance once "fully-built" to that of a V8-powered car in the same state.

V8-killer also doesn't necessarily mean it will kick its *** in the quarter mile, there are plenty of other aspects of performance in which the evo will most likely prevail when compared to a Mustang.
