The ultmate winter paint saver....

ok so i was prepping up my ix se for th winter because of mitsus crapy paint and road salt so i went to my local walmart and autozone at 10:00 for supply for the next day....so at walmart i bought zymol cleaner wax, nanowax synthetic car wax and then clean big aplicatopad and a shimmy and a bunch of towels then i went over to and bought claymagics claybar and lube combo....and went home for a good nights reast cuz i stayed within my 60 dollar limit... so first i gave the gar 2 good power washes 1st just a rinse and soaking of water, then used some ajax to take off old wax...and then rinse agian...pulled the acr into the garage claybared it down....then i did the nanowax..and finished it off with the zymol cleaner wax...y i tell you to do this is because now whenever you want a clean car just go to your local self serve carwash and put the knob on rinse...and everything goes away like nothing...then turn it onto spotless rinse and your set to go with a fresh wax job everytime....make sure never to use soap cuz your job wil go to waste!!!! and that should be the last wax of this season.....and only will cost you 2 bucks a week and 4 mins of your time to preserve your paint...Good luck guys ohh and btw its like a 4hour job but def pays off as i rinsed it today...

Cleaner wax before the nano next time. Or just switch to Zaino, much better...

Dont use soap? Soap doesnt strip wax....

Or do a real detail with better OTC products...Nano wax wont last long, neither with the Zymol Cleaner wax. Shammy's are hell for your paint if they catch and debris.

If you want protection from the winter, a sealant is the best way to go...JW Acrylic Jett, FK1 #2180, and Zaino Z-5 come to mind...

Dawn dishwashing detergent strips the car of all wax ever put on. You should always start with that before any major detail/wax job.

What you should really use is a clay bar system instead of a dish detergent.

To the thread starter; You are supposed to use the cleaner wax before you use a top coat wax.

You know using cleaner wax after putting wax on is taking off the first layer of wax right?
