Question Evo CF Wing Re-clear (56k grab a snickers)

Just got my wing back from evoM member, MikSchultzy (locally in MI), and I'm happy with the results! The top is slightly tinted, and the bottom (underside) was left alone.

What do you think?

How do you remove just the middle portion in order to have it repaired?

I have a small rock chip on the top of my wing. I can actually touch the CF. Is it possible to have that fixed?

wish someone local to me fixed them at a reasonable price. was gonna try it myself, but i don't want to risk messing it up. and my dealer would warranty it, but then it would occur again in a few years. the only true fix is a quality clearcoat with UV inhibitors.

You'll have to PM MikSchultzy and ask him exactly what he did. I basically gave him a check and called it a day!

True, I'm getting my new one from warranty on Saturday. I figure it will happen again, but I'd be insane not to get a free new CF Evo 8 wing from the factory. Should be a few years, and I'll wax it often, but I expect the same problem. I'll enjoy the fresh CF while I can and worry about the future later.

yeah, the only thing that worries me is that i've seen a few people on here that had them replaced and the dealer messed their trunks up taking the wing off. you know bent them or scratched them and then it's an even bigger problem. so i'd feel better taking it off and putting it on myself.
