i just wanted to try out the 9 and I only had to add $1k to get the evo, so i figured it was a good deal. sold the sti for 25 and got the evo for 26ish, the sti had 32k miles and the evo when i picked it up had 17k (single adult owner)

overall i felt i lost very little

I too made the jump from the sti to the evo. I really do miss the low end torque of the sti and the hood scoop. She'll be missed.

Both cars are beautiful.But i think you made the right choice going with the Evo. Easier and less expensive to mod and in my opinion a better car,not because i have had 2 Evo,s, but i,ve driven an Sti and i like the overall style and performance level of the Mitsubishi.

That was definitely the best year for the suby. Both cars look clean. What all did you have done to your subaru? I miss my old 2002 bugeye at times..
