Saying everybody shifts slow is the first indication that you suck at driving your car, and that is the fact just because that statement isnt true, im sorry that you cant enjoy your stick, but im glad you realized you are wrong, and by the way most of the manufacturers you listed make cars that come in stick, its just that you are the type of person that when you drive by in a sports car, I get pissed when I hear that famous automatic shift sound and just screams out that a big vagina is driving
Here is a link for your education about DSG/SST.

it drives me crazy when i see the losers bash the paddle shifters, porshe, farrari, lambo, audi, and starting next year even the corvette will have a paddle shifting auto. a manual gearbox is old school, evo=evolve time to move on. u guys should just admit u like manual because thats all u can afford or have ever driven , but look at the facts before u shiiit out your mouth.

hey, any way you could revise your quotation methods to where it doesn't look like i'm the one that said that? lol i'd rather not be associated with that kind of ignorance.

and as for you, oh wise and wonderful ruler of all things evolution, who seems to know more about what's good for the EVO than the engineers who made it, the same guys who have been there since the EVO 1 who have put in the years of research, development, testing, racing, and everything else to make the EVO what it is...but who are they to say what's best for the car? why not just ask you? you seem to have all the answers.
as for sticks, the reason sticks still exist is because they are cheap. all those manufacturers i mentioned offer sticks as the base transmission to keep prices down on the low end models. the reason it's offered in the higher performance models is because it's faster than a regular automatic, but cheaper than something like DSG, SMG, or SST (which would be faster). in the high end sports cars from each of those manufacturers, where the price doesn't matter, what do they offer? anybody? OMG... clutchless manuals with paddle shifters. why would they do something crazy like that? oh wait, that's right, because it's better. since the technology is becoming more wide spread now, and cheaper to make, those types of transmissions are starting to trickle down into the cheaper models and slowly but surely traditional manual transmissions will be phased out on everything but farm equipment. the only reason those transmissions aren't in everything already is because of the cost.
automatics are getting smarter, and faster. manual's have their limitations. they can only do what the driver is capable of making them do. there's no way on God's green earth that you are going to get anybody to believe that you can change a gear faster than a computer controlled transmission. there's no way on this planet or any other that you can move your feet/hands faster than an electronic signal can be carried through a wire. that would be like turning the light off, and being back in bed before it gets dark. now, do you want to dispute that and make yourself look more idiotic than you already do? if that's possible at this point..
if you're such a badass driver, take this challenge. video tape yourself upshifting, and downshifting with your shifter and guages clearly visible then, post it on youtube. after that, we'll compare your shifting to the video of the EVO X shifting and see who's faster. surely you can't be scared of an automatic because you are after all the God of shifting are you not? with shifts faster than any machine will ever be able to duplicate right? so how about you stop talking, and do it. otherwise, shut the **** up.

this is not a big deal.... u either like drivn a manual or u dont..... who really cares what other auto makers do. i love driving a manual its just what i prefer. i'm sure if the problem was being able to afford the car we wouldnt have evo's now would we. people that love the car and cant drive a manual now can own one. i've never been impressed by any automatic (just plant your foot and go, so exciting). i'll be gettin the evo x as a manual just because thats what i prefer, regardless of what technology or logic may prove about the new transmission. so the both of u can drop the issue some people like the change for whatever reason and some of us dont.... if some how by then i get tired of driving a stick i'd love to know that i can still get an evo... oh and the car does have 2 clutches just has no clutch pedal if you're both tryin to be specific
