Thats the best thing to do!

^^^agreed.

Mine's the middle pic he attached with the Blitz faTT in the A-pillar, i like to have it out to see how long it's going to stay on or if i just want to turn it off i can just smack the button when i get out.

It took a little getting used to with the green light right there but i don't even notice it anymore.

I'm getting one soon too. All too oftem I'm boosting to get somewhere in a hurry...I live my life running late. It sucks when you have a minute to spare and that minute is used sitting in an idle car.

No, the stock Evo 9 instrument cluster looks just like the one used in the 2005 Evo 8's. the one pictured is a layover you can get from eBay. It lights up blue if I remember correctly, and almost all of them have issues with making the "check your battery" light not appear correctly (it cuts off the sides of the battery icon because of improper fit).

Thanks for the information. I may pick one up and modify the "check your battery" portion of it. Mainly because I'd rather have a blue background. Anyone know a place other then Ebay?

As for my turbo timer...it's just mounted on the steering column. =)

Actually, I'm quite supprised I haven't seen anyone cover their OEM gauges with some from this site:

http://www.blackcatcustom.com/

Some of the ones they make for the Evo look a lot better and you can truely customize them, unlike the "custom-yet-already-premanufactured-so-they're-not-quite-custom" gauges you get on eBay.

I went with an HKS Type-0. It is cheap and gets the job done. Plus I really like how it matches my Defis and odometer at night. There it is, tucked cleanly away under the radio.

Turbo timer is a waste of time...i haven't used mine in about 1 year.

Those are some great placement ideas though in the pictures supplied by the OP
