Vent Replacement Gauge Mount

I bought 4 apexi el2 gauges and wanted to go for something a lil different with the mounting, what do you guys think about this, sorry for the shoty photo editting I put cut and pasted it real quick, im making the mould in cad and then getting it rapid prototyped, then il fibreglass away.

Contructive critisism would be appreciated, so i can adjust it before i get it made.

I will make it so that the vent can be unscrewed and this will screw straight in to replace it.

i have the vents blocked of at the back anyway, i cut them a while back and installed my turbotimer in it i didnt want it to overheat in anyway. i found the side vents to be effective enough. it would be awesome to get hold of a factory NAV screen dash and use that.
