Well I actually did it, I fixed the bumper myself using shunder's direction. Anyone looking to paint with cans use that write-up. It came out 1,000 times better than my first attempt. I had a tiny bit of overspray with the clearcoat but it isn't noticable. I was so excited when I finished, it really looks like it was done with a gun. Thanks all for the advice, I'll post up some pics when I get the car cleaned later today. It's been snowing and raining alot so the car is dirty as all hell.

+1,000,000 for shunderwunder's advice. I think that he is knowledgeable enough to make a thread on paint maintenance, which should be sticked. Great to hear that everything went well...
