CF hoods weight more than the stock hood, if you want it for looks go for it, but if you want it to save weight just save your money.

damn good to know. I remember the first time i popped the hood of the evo I was suprised how light it was.

 

I'd still like to see some CF bonnets on some GG evos.

You should consider getting a carbon fiber trunk instead....it still looks good and you will save 12 pounds.

absolutely not true. For the seibon hoods and such, yes. I know for a fact that the robispec hood is lighter. And my deft hood just tips the scale a hair or so below my stock hood. And thats not be mention the high end dry carbon ones. Varis's hood is 7.7lbs lighter, but it costs alot more.

not ALL carbon hoods weigh more than the stock hood.

there are dry carbon 1x1 weave hoods that only weigh in at around 10lbs, some a little less, some a little more

some people want carbon for the look and 1 or 2lbs doesnt end their life
