Review of RMR CF Hood Scoop(PICS)

It was slow at work today so I got a chance to clean the Evo. Just took a few crappy pics with my iphone of the front to show the HS. I know there's been a few posts about this and no one can find any decent pics of it. MORE PICS ON THE LAST PAGE

First Impressions/Quality
The quality of the scoop is top notch. The scoop is actually functional since they have a snorkle tube which routs outside air directly to your intake. The scoop was designed with intentions of using the RMR intake (which makes sense). So I had to sand down the end of the snorkle tube so the hood would shut properly with my intake. The scoop WILL NOT work with the stock airbox. Other then sanding the tube, the only thing that was time consuming was the trimming of the new piece of mesh that they supply with the kit. I know a lot of people don't really like how they look but I think it looks great(I guess that's what really counts right).

Performance Gains
Haha, nothing at all. I know some people have reported a little better throttle response after they installed theirs, but I can't tell a difference.

Cost
Depends on where you look online, but I found mine for 320 bux shipped.

Other then that, just wanted to share my impressions of the scoop. Hope everyone had a good and safe New Years!

Sure no problem at all. To be perfectly honest i'm not sure which brand it is. It's the same intake that Chad Block uses or used to use on his ta evo if that helps haha? Its just a cone filter. The guy who owned it before me had some crappy POS just dangling around in there and I just told Chad to replace it for me.

Naw, don't think i've met you either. Yea, my cars spend more time at Chad's place then they do in my driveway haha, can't seem to make my mind up. I think i'll be holding on to this one for awhile! Hopefully Chad will host some functions in the Spring time so we can all meet!

Yea, i lucked out. They tested my paint, and it's still orginal. Only, there's a bad touch-up job on the left front fender that the guy before me attempted to accomplish.

Yea, Jason, I remember you. I'm down. When our one sales rep gets back from vacation, i'll have more free time to check out your whips!
