repainted my valve cover and smoked my side markers

i got bored with my black valve cover so i re sprayed it wrinkle red.



ignore the ugly heatshield..ill have a polished one soon..




and heres the side markers i smoked

i sprayed a light coat of black and then put alot of clear over it when the black was still wet, so it kind of all melted together....

I had to go in the garage to double check, yes they are backwards!!

Thanks on the paint tip. The markers turned out Awesome, I think Ill try and replicate that. Cheaper than 60$ new ones, and looks awesome.

If don't want to spend the money for a new heat shield, just use 600 grit sand paper and scrub off all that black/grey stuff that's on it. It would come out polished underneath. I did it on mine since I'm stock turbo, and I think it looks good.

Should of filled that hole where the throttle cable used to go, but the color looks hot!

Did you use any heat? it looks a bit "Glossy" for wrinkle finish......



after about 3-5 min's, once the paint has had a chance to firm up & it has a small film on the surface you should take a heat gun or your GF's hairdryer & that will cause the paint to shrink & pull itself in & that will create a more wrinkled look

im happy how it turned out...it looks 100x better in person. and i sprayed some clear over it so thats why its so glossy

whoah... why would you clear wrinkle paint?

i think the red looks too honda-esque. like the stock deep red, or dark grey.
