Anyone modded their 8 front bumper?
I've seen a few pics of some ppl cutting the triangle off on the 8 front bumper. Made the grill look like a 9 grill. Was it hard, and how did you cover up the space?
I did it...well I had a fab guy do it and it cost $130. Had the bumper repainted and it looks great. I hate the IX ft, so I trade my IX SE ft bumper for an VIII plus cash on the other guys side and used the extra cash to pay for the cut and refinish. You then just buy some mesh at an auto parts store and voila, a nice aftermarket looking bumper with No Mitsu labeling.
Oh and I do not have pics and since it is raining like crazy right now, none available until maybe tomorrow. Here is a link to one for you to look at though..

mine didnt turn out bad....looks like *** with out a lower lip, mesh and or emblem. (imo)
i just need to paint my top bracket to my front mount, because its polished and stick out like a sore thumb. also the evo 8 mesh has a ugly little square cut out in the middle thats noticable when u get rid of the center section.
but really this mod isnt worth the time or money unless your basicly getting it dont for free like in my case. imo

New custom paint
I had the whole car repainted pearl white with a blue/gold tint to the paint.
The Body shop who painted my Evolution and my brothers chameleon TL in the picture is Peerless Auto Body of Pompano Beach Florida. The Guys name is Mike.
Telephone # 954-783-7555. I don't know what he would charge for just the front bumper. Just call and set up an appointment or stop by and I'm sure he could give you an estimate.
