Thumbs up Trading Tail-lights Evo8 owners!

I've heard alot of threads talking about the ugly altezza-look-a-like tail-lights that are hated by some of the Evo8 owners out there, so I got an idea of trading tail-lights (some people actually traded the entire TRUNK in the Lancer forum) with someone who just wants a pair of OZ lights! They're a direct bolt-on for both the Evo8 and the OZ, so don't have to worry abt tht. I'm willing to put mine up for trade if you're interested. Its in perfect condition, and I just bought my car abt 4 months ago. Shipping arrangements can be made if you're interested!

Evo 8's wont work with the regular Lancer tail lamps. Different bulb pattern and such. Read the tech manual on the Evo. Ask your local Mitsu dealer for a pair of the jeweled tail lamps that come on the Evo. Mention to him that you want their service department to install them on your Lancer and see what they say.

I asked the dealership to swap in some Lancer tail lamps on My Evo and they said no. They pointed me to the tech manual. It says it and comparing the pictures in it against the pictures in the Lancer tech manual, I could easily see why.

The 2F2F Evo was an Evo 7 and it had some aftermarket company make the tails for them.

I had a guy here in So Cal who (last night) changed out my lights. What he did was have a guy put some sort of red resin on the stock lights, Evo VII style. Now I know it sounds like it might be cheesy, but I looked very closely at the lights before putting them on. I couldn't find any flaws anywhere, not to mention the resin is laid so cleanly, you can't find a seam anywhere. It's awesome. A few guys here in So Cal have them and they look better than the JDM VII lights. They are darker and look sharper. The only, and I mean ONLY, bad part is that the reverse lights look a little pink. No big deal.

And, no, the Lancer lights DO NOT fit the Evo.

When you come through TN in a few days, what are the chances that you could trade me your tail lamps and then get my old ones done when you get back to California. Wait, you aren't going back.........damnit.
