I didnt clear the rims cause i wanted to see how they would turn out. All i did was sand them down, spray a few coats of primer and finish it off with a few coats of paint. I was gonna use some tape weights instead of the clips on at work, but i never had the chance to change them. It was easy, glad i did it. thanks alot guys

That's why you take them off before paint, then after you take your wheels in to get re-balanced and make sure they use the sticky weights.

Wheels look good... I need to redo mine. Had them painted for about a year and a few months now and some paint is chipping.

i used 220 grit sand paper first, then i went over it with 120 grit to smooth it out. The primer did a good job also at making it smooth. if you paint your rims i suggest you use a primer before painting
