I have a hard time out-driving the suspension as it is (stock Bilstein setup). This said, I'm in the process of researching springs. I'm only interested in better handling and I have a difficult time getting past modifying the factory geometry.

If I can get a hold of an Evo suspension guru, I may consider some quality coilovers with a thorough setup, but I'm really in no hurry.
get the GTWorx springs... i just got them and they are great!!! and they dont lower the car that much. i was in the same boat as you. i didnt want to drop my car and scrape everything and ruin the handling. these do neither!

check them out..

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm actually considering those springs, along with Works and Swifts. You post helped greatly.

The rims look nice painted. I have the same set up, unpainted of course, with 255 azenis. Before I installed my coilovers everyone said they hated the wheels....and said my car looked like a monster truck. I think its because the rims actually look a little smaller than stock. Anyway now that my wheel gap is minimized I have the same people telling me the rims are incredible. Go figure.
I have said it many times, these rims for the weight and price are unbeatable!

Thank you! If I may, I'd like to compliment you on an exquisite color choice for your Evo. I love how it almost looks purple in the right light.

To tell the truth, I don't know what it cost, as I bought the wheels painted. Emery, from Streettuned, was switching to 15" wheels and the AMS small brake kit for his drag Evo, and I was thrilled to buy his RPF1s.

and another thing did you get them painted flat black or a gloss black

thanks
I'm positive that you can. Mine are a shade away from being very glossy, although it's hard to see in the pics. The dirt doesn't help, either.

I agree; they do look smaller than stock. In all honesty, I couldn't care less. I bought them, because of their low weight. As for lowering the car for the sake of appearance, a sex change would come first.

Looking good! Maybe you should try the Swift Spec-R springs. I have them on my MR with NT03

Thanks, Shawna! I'm excited to see the new building in person, counting the days until the snow melts.

For those who don't know, Shawna - yes, she's a woman - runs one of the most professional, Evo-centric shops on the East coast. She can also pull a 1.6 60' consistently!

Streettuned Motorsports is the only shop that I trust with my car and they fully deserve the confidence. STM is an EvoM vendor, BTW. I've been driving for almost 30 years and in that time I've only come across a small handful of shops that can be called proficient. STM takes great care of its clients, the work is first rate with NO BS, and the folks are a pleasure to spend time with. Ricers, OTOH, may need to look elsewhere.
