Comp housing refinishing.
Not powder coat, not paint.
A friend/customer of mine came to me with a busted *** looking compressor housing. I mean corroded, oil out the wazoo, grimy fingerprints. I didn't think there was anyhting that could be done.
You older DSMers know what I mean.
A little Emulsion degreaser, soda blasting, aluma prep and alodine bath. Here's the finished product.
It has a slight gold hue to it and the bumpy surface is the casting. I don't do polishing. It's now resistant to corrosion and should stay looking nice for many years to come.
