new to the forms, just thought i would share with everyone, picked her up on saturday (11-1-08) 2005 just turned 26k miles, the red light in the trunk has been put back up, i have red neons under the seats aswell, fip down screen in the back seat, stock under the hood.

the neon lights have to go my friend..U bought an evo not a honda! get rid of the neon lights and that stereo equip. and u will have a nice car. Then start modding under the hood!! But welcome...SEARCH is ur best friend on here. Good luck with ur car.

the neons are forsure gonna go, but the system is gonna stay, sounds awesome in the car

 

Just dont add any more "flash" to your evo. Simple and clean evos look best.

 

I am sorry you have that in your trunk. Good luck trying to part it out, might be hard to sell it since it is Visionik.

Also, tint the front windows and it will look 100x better. Throw some bolt ons under your hood and your in business. I have always liked red, just make sure you take car of it since there is no clear coat (right?).

keep the system if you want but please for the love of evos get rid of the neons. Mod that engine up. your not a real evo unless you have 300+whp haha

Yes plz dear god get rid of that system. And put that money into bolt-ons. I promise you will be 10x as happy

 

^^Remember you are driving a RALLY Car! The original sound system isn't enough? Then shut it off and listen to that engine! Why weigh the car down with all that unnecessary stuff when you have a race car? Glad to hear that you are dumping the neon junk! Otherwise, congrats and welcome to the 'boards!

Wait, red evos do not have clear coat? What evos do? I was not aware of this.

 

Hey everyone has their own opinion, so if you like your car then go with it..... Most of us like WHP. Lol. And by looking at the underside of the trunk lid and seeing the rest of the car it looks like it def has a clear but thats just my 2 cents........ If it was a powder coating or single stage paint then everything would be shiny.

 

I believe that Rally Red Evos have the clear coat mixed with the red paint and not a separate layer.
